TEANECK, NJ, April 28, 2011 (Press-News.org) John Spencer, author, space architect and founder of the Space Tourism Society joined Kate Valentine, host of Viewpoints for an hour of discussion on Space Tourism. Viewpoints, a space talk radio program airs weekly on am 970 The Apple, Saturdays at 12 midnight, in the NY Metro area (EST).
John Spencer one of the first space architects and author of Space Tourism-Do You Want To Go? discussed the evolution of the Space Tourism Industry and the experience. He pointed out that we are already experiencing space through multiple avenues; Earth Based Space Experiences such as the Kennedy Space Center etc., Media Based Space Experiences i.e. movies and computer games, etc. and finally Real Space Experiences; private citizens paying to travel to space. These avenues have set the stage for "an industry which is sustainable, that can grow, that has multiple sources of revenue and promotional capabilities leading to the ultimate experience of actually going".-John Spencer
On April 28th Mr. Spencer announced, he will be hosting the official 10 year anniversary of the lift off of the first private space tourist, Dennis Tito. "The whole theme is celebrating the first decade of the space tourism industry while boldly advancing into the next. And believe me the next decade is going to be amazing!" stated John Spencer. Special honored guest Dennis Tito and Buzz Aldrin along with all the key players in the private space tourism industry will participate in this celebration.
Responding to a listeners inquiry about the price, John Spencer said "over the next 20 to 30 years the price will certainly come down as competition grows for access to space. "The ultimate goal is to have space travel become commonplace" and "not just going into orbit we have to have orbital resorts, orbital cruise ships and lunar resorts" and being a space architect this is what truly fascinates him.
It wouldn't be a Kate Valentine broadcast without touching on the subject of UFO's, disclosure and alien contact. Before appearing on the show Mr. Spencer said that he found himself rethinking his Viewpoint on UFO's and shared his personal opinion on the subject of UFO's and interaction with aliens with Kate and her listeners, which can now be heard on podcast.
"I look forward to keeping my listeners apprised of the advancement of this now 10 year old industry-Space Tourism!" stated Kate Valentine
Viewpoints space talk radio airs weekly on am 970 The Apple. Listeners tune in at midnight till 1am and share their viewpoints by either calling in or by posting comments and questions for Kate Valentine and her guest to answer live during the show.
