BOULDER, CO, November 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Green Garage, a Colorado-based comprehensive car care and repair center, opened the doors of its Denver and Boulder garages.
"We feature sustainable automotive products and employ a variety of unique car-care options — including the use of pulse plugs instead of antiquated spark plugs and filling tires with nitrogen instead of air," said Green Garage CEO Ryan Ferrero. "Our approach makes our customers' cars more environmentally friendly and fuel efficient."
The two Front Range locations plan to differentiate themselves from other comprehensive car care service centers through reliable and eco-friendly maintenance that can extend the intervals between service appointments and improve emissions, fuel economy and performance. Some of these services include offering products such as American Petroleum Institute approved recycled oil, silicone-based windshield wipers or low-toxicity engine coolant.
For example, recycled, or "re-refined" oil is one-third the cost of conventional oil and when combined with a dual-stage oil filter, customers can stretch out oil changes to 24,000-30,000 miles and filter changes up to 6,000 to 10,00 miles. The oil also requires 70 percent less crude oil to produce and saves 85 percent of the energy normally used to manufacture a quart of conventional automotive oil.
In order to help customers feel more at ease with taking their car into an auto shop, Green Garage offers on-going educational classes that help their customers understand more about their cars, and therefore, understand what services are and are not necessary.
Green Garage will also host a monthly service question live chat on their company Facebook page.
In an effort to give back to their community and environment, Ferrero said Green Garage is partnering with many area businesses that are focused on community development and helping the environment.
To schedule an appointment at Green Garage, either visit http://www.greengarage.com, call (303) 991-5650 x.4, or stop by one of their garage locations:
Denver Garage: 2900 Zuni Street, located on Zuni Street and West 30th Avenue
