CARY, NC, September 29, 2010

Learn what it means to make a difference in the community from five of Western Wake's most influential women. Join Cary Magazine at the 2010 Women of Western Wake luncheon Friday, Oct. 15, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at The Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary.

The 2010 Women of Western Wake Honorees are: Cynthia Marshall, of AT&T North Carolina; Virginia Anthony, of Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian; Gale Adcock, of SAS Institute Health Services; Maureen Hartford, of Meredith College; and Ping Fu, of Geomagic. Honorees were selected based on their community involvement, professional accomplishments and overall leadership qualities.

This year's event will recognize past Women of Western Wake honorees and feature a panel discussion with insightful contributions from current honorees. Attendees will enjoy networking time prior to the luncheon. Following food service, honorees will receive their awards and recognitions, and the floor will be opened for a question-and-answer-style discussion.

The luncheon is sponsored by Crescent State Bank. Angela Hampton, community affairs specialist for ABC 11 Eyewitness News and host of Heart of Carolina Perspectives, will emcee the event.

Tickets for the event are $35 and can be purchased at http://www.carymagazine.com. Tickets for a full table (eight attendees) can be purchased for $200 and will be seated together as a table.

Throughout the years, Cary Magazine has honored influential women in the business community from numerous industries. Past winners include Sepideh Asefnia, of SEPI Engineering Group; Mary Henderson, of the Town of Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources; Mary DePuew Kamm, an active volunteer; and Billie Redmond, of Coldwell Banker Commercial Trademark Properties.
