LONDON, ENGLAND, September 29, 2010 (Press-News.org) Today, Friday 24 September, the World's Biggest Coffee Morning has been taking place in cafes, homes and offices across Essex and the UK, with the aim of raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In 2009, GBP350,000 was raised by the Essex community for the charity, which provides practical, medical and emotional support to people affected by cancer.
This morning, the Hornchurch team at FRP Advisory LLP, the nationwide restructuring, recovery and insolvency firm, held a cake baking competition to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. As of this afternoon, the team has raised GBP228.82 for this worthy cause.
Jeremy French, Managing Partner at FRP Advisory, was delighted to judge the 16 entries, which were marked on presentation and texture, as well as flavour. Following great deliberation and the consumption of a wide range of scrumptious confectionery, Jeremy finally announced the winner as Claire Pereira, for her mouth-watering chocolate cupcakes, with Chris French and Joanne Mackerness as close runners up.
Presenting the winners with their prizes, Jeremy commented: "This has been a hugely enjoyable way of raising money for a truly exceptional charity, which helps improve the lives of so many people affected by cancer."
He added, "It has been great to see the competitiveness and enthusiasm of our people, expressed in such a creative and delicious way - and all for such a deserving cause."

Roaring Penguin Software submits Internet-Draft for IP Reputation structure to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)
2010-09-29
Roaring Penguin Software Inc., makers of the acclaimed CanIt line of anti-spam solutions, today announced that they have submitted an internet draft
to the Internet Engineering Task Force. Several organizations (Project Honeypot, Spamhaus, RepuScore, etc.) maintain databases detailing the reputation of various IP addresses.
