Publisher Of Enterprising Women Magazine Serves As A Delegate To Conference Focused On Entrepreneurial Growth Strategies

Smiley had the honor of introducing Sen. Kay Hagan (D-NC) at a congressional leaders luncheon on Capitol Hill during the event.

During the two-day conference, participants heard from accomplished national leaders about the state of women in business and how to implement effective growth strategies in government contracting and online marketing. The conference was held in the wake of a WIPP study that revealed the exclusion of women from congressional hearings. Highlights of the event included a briefing from Tina Tchen, assistant to the President and chief of staff to the First Lady; and Don Graves, executive director of the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and the deputy assistant secretary for Small Business, Community Development and Housing Policy.
