SANTA CLARITA, CA, October 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) Los Angeles Huntmakers want to challenge you and your friends to a game.

Santa Clarita, CA (October 2, 2012) - The creators of The Hunger Runs 5K adventure race want to challenge those brave enough to face The Hunt. Coming to Rowher Flats Angeles National Forest on January 12, 2013, the 5K race will include various obstacles dubbed "challenge centers". Challenge centers will range from a collection of tests, including archery, spear throw, and weight toss.

Jonathan Li, Operations Manager for The Hunger Runs and self-dubbed Huntmaker, looks forward to The Hunger Runs participants' reaction to the much anticipated archery challenge, as well as a few additional surprises. "A lot of work is being done to prepare for The Hunger Runs. We want to design a 5K that's never be done before. The archery challenge is just the beginning of the unique experience we have in store for the Dedications," says Jonathan Li.

Archery aside, The Hunger Runs will provide some unique elements not typically seen in the sea of 5K races available to Los Angeles. Andrew Li, CEO of The Hunger Runs, states that The Hunger Runs "adds the additional element of teamwork. We are great advocates of leading healthy lifestyles and working as a team as much as possible. Whether it's with family members, coworkers, friends or neighbors, we're challenging our Dedications to work as a team of two to complete all of the challenges together at the fastest possible team, together."

If shooting arrows and throwing spears with a partner all in the name of fun don't appeal to you, The Hunger Runs provides an alternative to those who still want to join the festivities from the sideline. Spectator tickets, as well as Dedication tickets, are available now on The Hunger Runs website (http://www.thehungerruns.com) for the January 2013 event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the charity Food for the Hungry, a relief and development organization that works in over 25 countries. To learn more about Food for the Hungry, visit http://www.fh.org.
