LOUISVILLE, KY, October 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) LSS Life Safety Services, an industry leader in passive fire protection inspection services such as fire and smoke damper inspections, fire door inspections, and firestopping, has been awarded a position on Business First's "Fast Fifty" list for the fifth consecutive year. The "Fast Fifty" is an award that honors the fifty fastest-growing independently owned and privately held companies within Louisville and the surrounding areas. This year, the "Fast Fifty" included companies that have earned at least a 27% growth rate, which was up from the 15%-25% growth rate held by last year's award winners.
Business First's Fast 50 program honors 50 privately based companies located within 9 Kentucky counties, including Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble. Also including companies located in Clark, Floyd, Harrison, and Washington counties in Indiana. These companies must have a three-year operating sales history, as well as an average of $1 million in annual revenue for their three most recent fiscal years.
"Our team has really put in the effort to grow this company and everyone is directly involved in where it has been and where it is going," said Craig Rutledge, owner of LSS. "To be able to sustain growth the way that we have over the past several years is something that we are really proud of. We are creating jobs and contributing directly to our economy and as a business owner, that's really what it is all about."
LSS has maintained steady growth over the past five years primarily through exceeding their customer's expectations through phenomenal customer service, which has allowed them to build upon an already loyal customer base. They have also poured their budget into beefing up their marketing campaigns and online presence, strengthening and expanding their sales force and focusing on operations.
