SINGAPORE, January 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Midnight Troop Team introduces the 'Moments of Gratitude' application, the first full-featured gratitude journal application on Android. This application encourages the users to reflect on the good things in their lives, and cultivate gratitude towards them. This simple practice fills the users' minds with positive energy, and by the Law of Attraction of "like attracts like", the users can expect to attract more positive things to them.

For years, experts have recommended writing gratitude journals to improve the quality of lives. Such practice effectively allows the practitioners to be conscious of the many positive things around them - the loving family and friends, cheerful experiences, material things they enjoy, and anything else that brings about pleasure. Writing them down not only imprints these wonderful things deeply in the practitioners' minds, but also helps them to realize the many goodness in their lives - and open up their mind to welcome more of similar goodness.

Not many people have yet known about gratitude journals, but the 'Moments of Gratitude' application aims to change this. Understanding the limitations in maintaining paper-based journals, the developer also attempts to improve the experience for those who have started such a habit. This Android application provides the convenience to write the journal any time, any place as the users wish, as long as they have access to their smartphones.

A gratitude journal application is not a new concept in the mobile phone application domain. However, in the Android world, only simplified versions were available. Many essential functions were stripped off in the existing applications, and this shortchanged the users' experience. The 'Moments of Gratitude', on the other hand, is the full-fledged gratitude journal on Android. The complete functionalities it provides will definitely help the users to reap the benefits from practicing gratitude.

Two versions of the 'Moments of Gratitude' Journal are available, namely the 'Lite' version for the users to try out the application, and the 'Full' version. The latter offers the features of image attachment, more spaces for journal entries, advertisement-free interface, and data backup. Such functions ensure that writing a gratitude journal is a breeze, and the users will enjoy it and thus maintain this habit.

Modern Skylight Benefits Outweigh Old Fears

2013-01-03
The green building and remodeling movement puts great emphasis on natural lighting, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency. Moving air through our homes and distributing light can be, and usually is, accomplished by a combination of mechanical and passive means, with a fan and an open window being simple examples. But, in today's technical world, what's simple? According to Joe Patrick, who heads national product management for VELUX America, the chimney effect achieved by creating an opening in a roof is simple. "Warm air rises. If there's an opening in the ...

Skylights, Roof Windows and Windows Are Much Alike

2013-01-03
Homeowners are sometimes reluctant to cut a certain type of hole in a perfectly good roof. They don't question cutting dozens of holes in the walls for windows and doors. They don't question holes in the roof for chimneys, ventilation fans or plumbing vent pipes. But for a skylight? The problem in the past has always been a fear of leaks, and with some justification due to inferior materials and less than dependable installations. But that should no longer be a valid concern. According to Joe Patrick, who heads national product management for skylight manufacturer ...

Tips For Controlling Condensation In Your Home

2013-01-03
That wet mist that sometimes clouds the interior glass on your home's windows could be the first warning sign that your home is retaining too much moisture. And even if your home doesn't actually feel damp, excess moisture can do damage in unseen places. Roger LeBrun, product certification engineer with VELUX America, says that condensation is the tip-off. Understanding Condensation "Condensation is the conversion of vapor to liquid. It occurs when the air becomes saturated with moisture and releases it in the form of water," LeBrun says. The air around ...

Brighten Up Underutilized Space in Your Home

2013-01-03
Poorly lit attics and bonus rooms tend to be underutilized areas in many homes. But with additional natural light and fresh air from venting skylights or roof windows, gloomy spaces can easily become more inviting and productive. "Whether as a playroom, home office, or extra bedroom, finishing or remodeling your bonus room with venting skylights, or with roof windows, which open wider to provide egress, could be the highest value, yet lowest cost per square foot option you can choose," says Joe Patrick, who heads national product management for VELUX America. Patrick ...

Sun Tunnel Tubular Skylight for Low Slope Roofs

2013-01-03
VELUX America is introducing a 14-inch diameter, curb mount VELUX SUN TUNNEL skylight, for use on commercial and residential roofs with low slopes, at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida in February 2012. Bruce Mosher, Sun Tunnel skylight product manager for VELUX America, says that the ...
