FORT MILL, SC, January 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) VELUX America is introducing a 14-inch diameter, curb mount VELUX SUN TUNNEL skylight, for use on commercial and residential roofs with low slopes, at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida in February 2012.

The new unit utilizes many of the same elements as earlier residential Sun Tunnel skylights, including a dual-frosted diffuser system, but a specialized flashing component will allow installation of the tubular skylights on roofs with zero to 30 degrees of slope.

Bruce Mosher, Sun Tunnel skylight product manager for VELUX America, says that the TCR 014 curb flashed unit can be utilized on shingle or metal roofs.

VELUX Sun Tunnel Skylights can be found nationwide in home centers, building material retailers, and other outlets. They are available in acrylic dome or low profile flat glass models. Impact models for hurricane-prone areas are also available as are light kits for nighttime use. Rigid tubing is standard but flexible tubing for easier installation in confined areas is also available.
