FORT MILL, SC, January 03, 2013 (Press-News.org) VELUX America is introducing its new FSR series of replacement No Leak Skylights designed to simplify replacement for older VELUX and competitor units. The new No Leak Skylight replacement series matches the techniques used by roofers to replace skylights from the roof. The products are being shown for the first time at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida in February 2012.
The most common four skylight sizes are available in the new series. These four sizes feature a larger, 2.75-inch wide deck seal flange and gasket that allows them to span inconsistent, rough opening dimensions found with older skylights. The interior of each unit is a flush; factory-finished white frame with no drywall grove, allowing the installer to quickly match existing construction and reduce or eliminate time spent trimming the interior. These features allow approximately two inches of flexibility in both width and height to accommodate a wide range of opening sizes.
The units, which use standard VELUX engineered flashing and energy efficient LoE3 glass, carry the VELUX 10-year No Leak Warranty.
Timothy B. Miller, president of VELUX America, says that the No Leak Skylight line has been very successful and the company expects the addition of replacement models to the line to be well received by remodelers, builders, roofers and homeowners.
Miller points out that VELUX is an ENERGY STAR partner and has been recognized as a Partner of the Year. "This recognition of the energy efficient and green qualities of company products, and of the VELUX commitment to quality manufacturing and sustainability, will be strengthened with the new products, which are designed to meet existing and future ENERGY STAR guidelines," he says.
