RALEIGH, NC, February 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Chef's Academy (http://www.thechefsacademy.com), the Culinary Division of Harrison College, a 110-year-old, nationally accredited institution that offers 40 degree programs in five schools of study, has announced that it will host a Wine and Food Pairing Class on Friday, Feb. 22 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Participants will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines paired with small bites specifically crafted to show which elements of a meal are most important to consider when choosing a corresponding wine.
Mary Margaret McCamic, DWS, wine instructor and director of career services at The Chef's Academy, will help attendees see the value in successfully pairing the right wine with restaurant dishes, as well as creating the perfect wine and dinner partnership with homemade meals. A distinguished wine expert, McCamic received the Wine Australia Scholarship as the top-scoring graduate from the United States in 2011. Her deep passion for wine led her to study at New York City's International Wine Center, where she completed one of the most difficult courses of wine study in the country. A chef instructor from the school will work alongside McCamic to prepare a number of tasty small bites to accompany each portion of the wine tasting.
