Enterprising Women Magazine Recognizes President of Women-Owned, Illinois Technology Company

Poonam Gupta-Krishnan to be honored with 2013 Enterprising Women of the Year award.

CHARLES, IL, February 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Enterprising Women, a women-owned publication focused on women entrepreneurs announced that it had selected Poonam Gupta-Krishnan, President of Iyka Enterprises, to receive the Enterprising Women of the Year award for 2013. Winners will be recognized at the 11th Annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration on April 3 and 4 at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

"The Enterprising Women of the Year Class of 2013 is a remarkable group of women leaders," said Monica S. Smiley, Executive Editor of Enterprising Women. "This annual celebration is unlike any other event as it honors each award recipient and brings together the finest women entrepreneurs from around the world to network, share best practices and celebrate their amazing achievements."

Poonam Gupta-Krishnan founded Iyka in 2000. Since then, she has steadily grown her business by providing data management and other IT services to government agencies, businesses, and educational institutions. She received her business education at Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business.

In addition to her business success, Gupta-Krishnan has been recognized as a thought leader on government technology. She is the founder of the Technology Innovation Summit, an annual gathering in Chicago of tech experts, academics and government executives to discuss how technology can better be integrated into government to enrich communities.
