LONDON, ENGLAND, February 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) MPS Healthcare's successful collaboration with sister company HCL Doctors has driven the organisation to open a branch of HCL Doctors in Llantrisant, Wales.
MPS Healthcare Managing Director Alyx Peters is thrilled with the partnership, which combines MPS Healthcare's long running relationship with all the NHS Health Boards and leading private health care providers in Wales, and HCL Doctors' expertise.
"We see an opportunity to offer doctors based in Wales a personal service, previously unavailable until now. Our experience in the Welsh healthcare recruitment market, our relationships and local knowledge put us in an excellent position to provide a valuable service to doctors in Wales." said Ms Peters.
Liz Bickley, Managing Director of HCL Doctors says operating business at a regional level has already proved invaluable to the organisation.
"We have seen the benefits elsewhere in our business of operating within a region - it enables improved knowledge, which leads to continuity of care which feeds improved patient care and increased cost saving possibilities for Trusts. This then underpins an engaged workforce who benefit from a local presence.
"By working alongside MPS Healthcare,Wales' leading supplier of agency nurses, we are in line to become a strong contender in the Welsh market," Ms Bickley said.
Liz Bickley and Alyx Peters are confident combining MPS Healthcare and HCL Doctors' resources will result in the Welsh Health Boards and doctors operating on a local level, cutting time and administration increasing efficiencies and promoting quality patient care.
"Unlike other agencies, we operate within Wales for our Welsh healthcare professionals and clients. Our local knowledge and standing gives us an extreme advantage, and we are pleased to offer this personal service to our Welsh doctors," Ms Peters said.

Dip in California Small Business for Sale Transactions Last Month, Says BizBen Index
2013-02-08
The total of 1,179 small and mid-sized business for sale deals closed in California last month represents a 3.6% decline from the 1,223 completed transactions recorded during January of last year, according to the BizBen Index which tracks transactions involving the sale of small businesses throughout the state.
"Part of the reason fewer deals closed last month is that some of the sale contracts that might have been wrapped up in January were pushed into completion back in December, when possible. That's because many owners wanted to avoid the higher capital gains ...

HTG, Inc. Lands Another Nationwide Multi-Million Dollar Contract
2013-02-08
HTG, Inc., headquartered in Vancouver, WA, is in a growth spurt, often bidding against the biggest in the industry and lately, more often than not, winning. To Macaulay, this win is more evidence that he can be a lot smaller than his competitors to get the larger contracts in systems integration. Though the contract is another of many similar system conversions for HTG, the project involves client sites in 38 of 50 states. Macaulay says scar tissue and scalability are the keys to making projects of this size manageable.

2013-02-08
Operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI), also known as driving under the influence (DUI), is a serious charge in Ohio. Conventional penalties -- like fines and jail time -- can be very steep for Ohioans convicted of a drunk driving offense.
Yet, some of the most significant penalties for OVI are those that are unique to drunk driving crimes. The possibility of being forced to install an ignition interlock device in your vehicle is not only inconvenient and embarrassing, but could also mean substantial monetary costs.

Multiple drunk driving convictions could mean prison time in Ohio
2013-02-08
An Ohio man sentenced in December of 2012 found out the hard way that repeat drunk driving convictions can lead to serious trouble. Ricky Slabaugh, 49, was hammered in court with a five year prison sentence after racking up his ninth felony conviction of driving under the influence.
Not every repeat drunk driving offense results in such a steep penalty. Nonetheless, Mr. Slaubaugh's example serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of avoiding conviction when it comes to repeat drunk driving charges.

New workers' comp parking lot injury case from Oregon Court of Appeals
2013-02-08
When you're injured at work, you are entitled to workers' compensation benefits, which cover the cost of your medical treatment, provide you with partial wage replacement and in some instances pay for vocational rehabilitation. Yet, your employer or your employer's workers' comp insurer may try to say money by denying or limiting your claim for benefits.
One of the most common ways an employer or insurer tries to deny benefits is by saying that the injury did not actually occur at work -- in other words, that you were injured while doing something outside the scope of ...
