SearStone Presents "Turn on Your Brain" with Dr. Paul Nussbaum

Free April 4 Event to Provide Tips on Keeping Your Mind Young and Sharp

CARY, NC, March 13, 2013

SearStone, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community being developed in Cary, is proud to present the return to the Triangle area of leading brain health expert Dr. Paul Nussbaum. Dr. Nussbaum will address "Turn on Your Brain: The 5 Steps to Keep Your Mind Young and Sharp" on Thursday, April 4 at 2 p.m. at Prestonwood Country Club, 300 Prestonwood Parkway, in Cary.

Last September, Dr. Nussbaum spoke to a packed room in Cary on the topic of "How Healthy is Your Brain?" For this presentation, he will discuss how to turn on your brain and its 100 million interconnected nerve cells through the five factors critical for brain health: physical activity, nutrition, mental stimulation, socialization and spirituality.

Dr. Nussbaum is a nationally recognized expert on brain health and how lifestyle can affect cognitive powers. A licensed clinical neuropsychologist, he has spent 25 years focused on the care of people suffering with dementia and related disorders. His latest book, "Save Your Brain," was just named to AARP's Top Books for Brain Fitness.

"We had tremendous response to our previous event featuring Dr. Nussbaum, and it's an honor to host him once again," said Morgan Lamphere, director of sales and marketing for SearStone. "When residents start moving into SearStone this fall, they'll definitely experience a lifestyle that is conducive to mental and physical health."

Attendees are asked to RSVP for this free presentation by calling 919-466-9366 or by visiting http://www.searstone.com/events. Refreshments will be served. The first 20 to RSVP and attend will receive a signed copy of Dr. Nussbaum's book.
