Westlake Village Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Shindler, Uses Porcelain Veneers to Transform Smiles
2013-04-24
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA, April 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Philip Shindler, Westlake Village cosmetic dentist, offers his patients porcelain veneers. Veneers are thin shells that cover the fronts of the teeth. These veneers can improve the appearance of the smile for patients suffering from a variety of dental issues, such as badly stained teeth, severely worn teeth, irregularly shaped teeth, poorly spaced teeth, or smaller than average teeth.

The process for fitting a patient with veneers is relatively simple, making it a fast and effective solution for many cosmetic dental problems. First, Dr. Shindler, Westlake Village porcelain dental veneers expert, examines the patient's teeth to determine if they are a good candidate for veneers. Then, he prepares the teeth to be fitted with the veneers, and makes an impression of the teeth. This impression is sent to a dental laboratory that creates the customized veneers for the patient. Finally, when the veneers arrive back from the lab, Dr. Shindler checks them for fit and then uses a special dental bond to adhere them to the patient's teeth.

In addition to veneers, Dr. Shindler, Westlake Village teeth whitening expert, offers a number of other general and cosmetic dental services. He provides routine dental examinations, treats periodontal disease, fills cavities, restores dental implants, fits patients with Invisalign aligners, performs teeth whitening treatments, fits patients with night guards to prevent tooth grinding, and much more. Dr. Shindler also encourages his patients to use the CariFree program, a customized prevention program that has been proven to be effective with reducing patients' incidence of cavities by up to 85 percent.
