CALGARY, AB, April 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) On Thursday, April 18, 2013, the Institute of Hazard Prevention hosted a forum of nearly 100 influential stakeholders from across Canada and the USA to work towards a single purpose - to prevent a West, Texas style industrial disaster from happening again. The Institute of Hazard Prevention, founded in 2012 by ACM Facility Safety, was created to collaborate across industry to provide education and tools that will prevent industry disasters and losses.
"It is inspiring to see so many companies now taking the issue of process safety and plant integrity seriously", said Ken Bingham, ACM Facility Safety's CEO. "It has always been our purpose to make the world a safer place, and through each and every participant here, we believe we are one step closer to that reality".
'Inspire: Leading with Process Safety' provided a 3 day forum of workshop sharing best practices, case studies and learnings from previous industrial disasters to ensure that these incidents do not happen on our own backyard.
