SEATTLE, WA, April 30, 2013 (Press-News.org) Soccer video games celebrate their 35th anniversary this year, and there are already plenty of great games on Apple iOS for fans of the sport. Seattle based independent developers Game Changer Games are aiming to offer a new twist on the Football Manager style soccer sim, with a free-to-play game based around the corruption in the world's most popular sport that has been so highly publicized in recent months.
In Game Changer - The Football Match Fixing Game, players will take on the role of a match fixer working with shady characters from the criminal underworld to fix games via a number of different and interesting means, including bribing referees and blackmailing players. As players level up by successfully pulling off fixes and winning in game money by gambling on their fixed matches, they gain access to lots of different countries and leagues, all with their own look and special challenges.
The developers are aiming to raise $75,000 to complete the development and testing of the iOS version of the game, with additional stretch goals to fund a port for Android as well as localizations in French, Italian, German, Spanish and Chinese for both the iOS and Android versions. The Kickstarter campaign will run throughout May, and offers a number of interesting rewards that allow backers to be involved in some aspects of the game's design, as well as gaining access to the beta test program.
Game Changer - The Football Match fixing Game is being developed for iPhone and iPad, and subject to successful funding will be available in early 2014.
