Ms. Yeager will be presenting at the afternoon roundtable session on May 6 titled "Sexual Harassment 2013 - What Must an Employer Do to Comply with Ellerth and Does Ellerth Matter Anymore?" This is the fourth time she has been invited to participate in the high-profile conference on the Cornell University campus.
According to Ms. Yeager, the Labor and Employment Law Roundtable represents the perfect gathering place for company executives, practicing lawyers and "outside the box" academic thinkers to brainstorm about the best ways to handle the many pressing issues affecting employers in the hospitality industry. The roundtable is attended by senior-level executives, practicing attorneys, Cornell University faculty members and research scholars affiliated with the school's Center for Hospitality Research.
Other important industry issues that will be discussed at the event include union contracts, non-union employer policies and retaliation claims. Each session includes a short research presentation, open-ended remarks, guiding questions by the moderator and discussions with panelists. Additional information and a complete event agenda is available on The Center for Hospitality Research website at http://www.hotelschool.cornell.edu/research/chr/.
In addition to her leadership role with Gardere's Hospitality Industry Team, Ms. Yeager chairs the Firm's Immigration and Naturalization Practice. She also is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and regularly represents employers nationally in all types of employment disputes, including class and collective actions before local, state, and federal administrative agencies and courts.
