Leaf & Fiber is a company that manufactures Palm Leaf Dinnerware. The company's collection of Palm Leaf Products includes Palm Leaf Bowls, Palm Leaf Trays, Palm Leaf Dinner Plates, and Palm Leaf Side Plates. The company states that in recent months there has been a huge surge in sales from Vineyards and Wineries."We are facing a huge demand for our products from several Wineries and Vineyards who host events and weddings at their location. California Vineyards are known for their Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Winegrowing practices, so our product fits perfectly for their needs" says Alex Dilone, the CEO of the company.
The company initially focused only towards the Wedding and Catering Industry. But as demand increased, they started seeing the potential in marketing towards the Wine Industry. So much so, they are now sponsoring the 16Th Annual Pinot Noir Festival at Anderson Valley. The festival kicks off in about 2 weeks on May 19th with a weekend filled with wine, food, music and wine appreciation. This wonderful festival is hosted by the Anderson Valley Winegrowers' Association. Leaf & Fiber is also sponsoring the official Annual Winemaker BBQ on July 12th hosted by the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association, which is a member's only event.
Palm leaf plates being a compostable product, makes a perfect upscale disposable solution to the regions many events happening throughout the year. Palm leaf plates are made from the dried leaves of the Areca Palm Tree. The huge fronds shed and fall to the ground every few weeks. These leaves are collected, cleaned and heat pressed to the desired shape of plate, tray or bowl. No chemicals, bonding agents or Lacquers are used. Made from just dried leaves and water. Once used, they compost naturally like the dried leaves in our backyard in just 60 days. They are sturdy, look like wood and are microwave and oven safe up to a certain temperature. Eating on leaf plates was once an ancient tradition, thanks to Leaf & Fiber, it is gaining popularity among the evolving Eco-Conscious crowd. With these events, the company hopes to capture the attention of the Wine Community and boost sales in the coming months.
