The contest allows for the simplest forms of raw video footage to be easily uploaded and shared by anyone following this simple instruction: "Go out into your world and find someone doing remarkable things to help others become self-reliant in some way."
Winners will be selected and included in the Billions Rising Documentary and promoted to a worldwide audience. The contest is open now and will be accepting videos through June.
BillionsRising.com uses online media to showcase programs that empower self-reliance. Interviews, video, and stories of organizations and individuals who don't wait for someone to tell them what to do and help to empower others to do the same, especially those who lack advantages that others take for granted.
