2010-10-30
TORONTO, ON CANADA October 30, 2010 (Press-News.org) Casey's new menu features four Heart and Stroke Foundation Health Check dishes, other new and healthy meals, and an innovative QR code that provides instant access to nutritional and allergen information plus wine pairing suggestions for every menu item.
"At Casey's we continually strive to provide an exceptional experience. Lately, our guests have been asking about nutritional information. In response, we created a new menu with our guests in mind. We now offer healthier choices and provide comprehensive nutritional and allergen information and wine pairings for each menu item," says Grant Cobb, Senior Vice President, Brand Management for Prime Restaurants. "We introduced a variety of Health Check menu items and created a way to immediately look up the nutritional information for each menu item using a QR code and mobile website. Now, all of Casey's guests can make informed decisions about what they choose to eat."
The QR code on the Casey's menu is easy to use. Guests use their mobile phone to scan the QR code on the menu. Once the code is scanned, or the URL is entered on the smartphone's browser, the guest is provided with the full nutritionals and allergens for all menu items. Wine pairing recommendations and tasting notes are also provided for menu items. In addition, guests can complete an online customer satisfaction survey - right from their phones.
"Casey's has set the bar very high with their new interactive menu features," says Dave Scapillati, Vice President, Intelliware Development. "QR codes are becoming popular and are used more widely by organizations to engage with their customers using mobile phones. The Casey's program is an innovative and engaging way to provide immediate, up-to-date information to guests. With their new health-conscious and interactive menu, Casey's has achieved a new level of customer service for their guests and differentiates them in this competitive market."
