The Reality of FASHION the Reality of AIDS 2013 Celebrity Designs By Dominique Auxilly to Be Auctioned Off in NYC

BPMPR Announces That Auction of Runway Gowns From NY Fashion Week Show Will Begin Online

2013-05-08
NEW YORK, NY, May 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Beautiful Planning Marketing & PR( BPMPR) (http://beautifulplanning.com/), announced today that runway looks from their New York Fashion Week event "The Reality of Fashion The Reality of AIDS 2013 presented by BPMPR and EFFY Jewelry", will commence with the online auction of all dresses to be followed by a live auction event for final bidding. The New York Fashion Week extravaganza took place on Saturday, February 9th 2013 at The Altman Building where Reality stars and celebrities that have appeared on reality TV rocked the runway draped in pieces from designer Dominique Auxilly for the philanthropic event to directly benefit BPMPR's 2013 HIV/ AIDS charity of choice. Stars that strutted down the catwalk wearing these exquisite gowns included well known names such as Lil Kim, Drita D'Avanzo and Ramona Rizzo of Mob Wives, Brittany Brower, Deena Nicole Cortese of The Jersey Shore, Janice Dickinson, Keenyah Hill of America's Next Top Model, Ramona Singer and Alex McCord of The real Housewives of New York, Michelle Money of Bachelor, and many more. The online auction of these 27 pieces has started online, and is fully open for "pre-bids" on any of the eye catching gowns featured in RFRA New York Fashion Week runway show at http://www.32auctions.com/organizations/7474/auctions/8276?page=1 .

"It was a privilege to be a part of such an extraordinary show for such an amazing cause," states designer Dominique Auxilly. "The pieces looked lovely on the reality stars, and I was so pleased with how everything turned out. I worked extremely hard on each and every piece while keeping in mind the fact that they would eventually be auctioned to benefit Broadway Cares. I'm proud to have my name affiliated with such a charity."

Dominique Auxilly's first collection was a hit after she made her debut during New York Fashion Week in 2009. Since then the label started to attract the attention of stylists, editors, fashion bloggers and well known celebrity names such as Nicki Minaj, Adrienne Bailon, Coco Austin, Tamar Braxton and many more. Pieces in the RFRA collection reflected her Jamaican roots blended with her love for old Hollywood and architectural structures. Her collection included flowing neutral colored gowns and dresses, mini turtle neck inspired pieces with mermaid cut styles, stunning black details with a combination of lace and leather, a harem jumpsuit with tinges of silk chiffon, and short bright pieces such as her neon green cocktail dress. These gowns were featured in over 150 media outlets with much rave from audiences. Some pieces have starting bids of $250, while more intricate pieces worn by major celebrities such as Lil Kim begin at $3,500. Each gown is being auctioned off with a portion of the proceeds donated directly to raise money and awareness for HIV and AIDs. Final bids will be accepted in person at the live event in early June—the official date is to be announced soon.

"The Reality of FASHION The Reality of AIDS show was simply incredible," begins Monique Tatum, event creator and producer, and CEO of BPMPR. "My goal for this amazing event was to raise money for the HIV/AIDS epidemic so that we can increase awareness and work to end this devastating disease. This was our first annual and I and am look forward to continuing this annually."

Sponsors for the event included EFFY Jewelry, AIRWORKS Compressors Corp, Lamik Beauty, Lozo's Virgin Hair, MVC Productions Management, Sign Expo, Amoy Couture Hair, Time Frozen Photography, The JW Essex Marriot Hotel, Dre Productions, Hatch Creative Studio, Cherwin and Cherwin Auctioneers, Pulsd, St. Moritz Security Services, Draude Inc., and Arter Clothing.
