VENTNOR, NJ, May 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Author Lynn Taylor Gordon has brought a new name and face to the Chanukah season. Make room for Gracie, the title character from first time author, Lynn Taylor Gordon's new book, Gracie's Night.. Gracie's Night is warm and spirited Chanukah story from Gordon and Cookie & Nudge Books. A hustling and bustling New York in early 1950's finds Gracie enjoying the rhythm and beat of the city. Living with her beloved Papa, Max the rescue dog, Lox the cat and Bagel the fish, Gracie's life is filled with lots of love, but not much money. When the BIG paper comes on Thanksgiving morning, Gracie scours the want ads, and one has her name! Gordon always wanted to be a writer and the Temple University graduate (Journalism/Advertising) raised her children and cared for her family while working as a freelance writer. Teaching and studying Yoga did not deter Gordon from pursuing Gracie and the joy she knew that Gracie would bring to countless numbers of children. Illustrator Laura K. Brown creates a memorable, loveable and engaging cast of characters - with a few surprises for grown up readers. Taylor Gordon has spent the last 10 years bringing up Gracie. After countless edits and a myriad of versions, Gracie is ready to spend Chanukah with lucky families everywhere. Gracie's Night is a tradition Taylor Gordon has woven into her Chanukah celebration every year; it has a very real place in her children's lives.
