DOYLESTOWN, PA, May 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) Para-Plus Translations, Inc. (www.para-plus.com), a global provider of translation and interpretation services, was selected by the State of Delaware to provide on-site interpretation in both sign language and foreign languages and written translations.
Para-Plus Translations is a leading provider of comprehensive global translation, interpretation, transcription, voice-over and sign language in more than 100 languages.
"Translations and interpretations are a delicate art of understanding the nuances in the industries we serve, as well as the languages we are handling," said Robert Santiago, Chief Operating Officer. "In today's multi-lingual environment, that is increasingly important to government agencies as they strive to serve a more diverse population."
Para-Plus will perform on-site interpretation and American Sign Language services at agency locations or other public and private facilities as determined by the requesting agency. Locations may include, but are not limited to, schools, hospitals, correctional institutions, police departments, clinics, public health office settings, offices of private healthcare providers, as well as client home visits and other community agencies.
The state of Delaware contracted with Para-Plus because its interpreters can translate terminology related to the legal (non-judicial), medical and psychological/mental health fields, and are available 24/7 because the state has several locations that operate around the clock.
Likewise, the state chose Para-Plus because its translators are well versed in translating legal, medical and psychological/mental health terminology in written documents.
Para Plus founder, Sonia Santiago, a native of Puerto Rico, recognized the need for quality interpretation and translation services in the legal community in 1980. Thirty years later, Para-Plus offers services in more than 100 languages and is operated by Santiago's two sons, Robert Santiago, Chief Operations Officer and Carlos Santiago, Vice President. The company has been honored four times in 2012, including being named to the Inc. 500, a ranking of the fastest growing, privately-owned companies in the U.S.
About Para-Plus Translations, Inc.: Founded in 1980, Para-Plus Translations has been offering a wide range of foreign language services to businesses, individuals and organizations for more than three decades.
