In Columbia SC, Invisalign Technology Offers Patients an Opportunity to Get a Beautiful Smile Without Braces!

"Consider Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted," comments Dr Richard Boyd. "Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing!"

2013-05-19
COLUMBIA, SC, May 19, 2013 (Press-News.org) No more indecision! The time for you to take that first step in getting the beautiful and healthy smile you've always wanted in now! Thanks to Invisalign technology, the days of wearing uncomfortable braces are over. At the orthodontic office of Dr. Richard Boyd, modern technology and personalized care are the ingredients that ensure your smile will last a lifetime.

Lingual braces

Lingual braces are hidden behind the teeth and are therefore "invisible" when you smile. Lingual braces are 100% customized to match the shape of your teeth, and therefore the metal appliances are created uniquely for you. Lingual braces are a very reasonable option for athletes, models, actors, musicians who play wind instruments, and adult professionals.

What Do Mean by Invisible?

Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing! So, not only can you smile more during treatment but also after as well! Invisalign is made with 3-D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective. More than 70% of orthodontists in the US and Canada are certified to treat with Invisalign.

Will Invisalign Work for Me?

Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem. They are also comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires usually means you spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments. Invisalign also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.

Clear Braces for Straighter Teeth

You wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move little by little, week by week, until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Boyd has prescribed. You'll visit Dr. Boyd about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-15 months and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.

The Importance of Teamwork

In order to successfully complete the treatment plan, the patient must work together with the orthodontist. The teeth and jaws can only move toward their corrected positions if the patient consistently wears the rubber bands, headgear, or other appliances as prescribed. Damaged appliances lengthen the treatment time. We can't wait to help you get the perfect smile!

Another Day Gone By

Every day that goes by is another day you could have been enjoying a beautiful smile! Remember, orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and with a complimentary first visit, you're never too old (or young) to appreciate the benefits of a beautiful smile. Dr. Boyd and his staff are waiting for you at either of their two locations: In Columbia, SC at 5 Office Park Court (Tel: 803-788-7000), in Western Columbia SC at 4233 Devine Street (Tel: 803-743-9200) and at 4574 C Sunset Blvd in Lexington SC (Tel: 803-785-4460).
