Atlantic Tire Named Cary Chamber's 2013 Small Business of the Year

Company Honored During Annual Excellence Awards Banquet

2013-05-24
CARY, NC, May 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Atlantic Tire & Service, a locally owned automotive repair center with three locations in the Triangle, was honored by the Cary Chamber of Commerce with its 2013 Small Business of the Year award at the annual Excellence Awards Banquet held May 9 at The Embassy Suites in Cary. Owner Anthony Blackman accepted the award on behalf of the company and its employees.

Atlantic Tire & Service was recognized for its excellence in creativity, innovation and drive for success - measured not only by numbers, but by customer relations. Employees of Atlantic Tire are both urged and required to understand the latest technologies in their industry to make sure customers are getting the best service possible. While Atlantic Tire caters to its customers, the company treats its employees with equal respect. On the employee's second anniversary of employment, he or she and guest are treated to a trip to Aruba, Cancun or the Bahamas courtesy of Atlantic Tire. This is the company's way of appreciating employees' efforts and showing their value to its success.

"This award is highly valued by Atlantic Tire & Service," said Blackman. "We strive to deliver the best customer service, stay connected with our community, and respect those who work with us. We are honored to be named The Cary Chamber's Small Business of the Year."

While Atlantic Tire & Service is a novice recipient of this award, they are no stranger to awards and praise. Owner Anthony Blackman was awarded the 2006 and 2008 Citizen of the Year Award by the Cary Chamber of Commerce. The company also won the Cary Chamber's Employer of the Year Award, the Community Service Award, and in 2009 was voted the Cary Chamber's Business of the Year. In addition, Tire Review named the company Top Shop in North America in 2007. Atlantic Tire has been the recipient of several other local awards, including the industry's prestigious Blue Seal of Excellence Award (the first recipient of this award in Cary), the Morrisville Chamber's Business of the Year Award, Cary News' "Best Place for Automotive Repair, award "and multiple Maggy Awards from Cary Magazine for "Best Mechanic in Western Wake."
