He stays in the loop of new opportunities to get in front of potential clients by actively networking. "I develop relationships," said Harley. For business owners who want to be well known in the community without speaking on stage, Harley recommends that owners appoint a team member (or hire outside help) to serve as a spokesperson. Using social media tools like Facebook and Twitter can also help business owners become known in the community, said Harley. "With [social media] they won't necessarily hear your voice but they will read your word, which can be just as impactful," commented Harley.

Harley also leverages his community to train his staff, many with limited exposure to some of the lifestyle and educational experiences of his target professional clientele, according to the client-focused owner. His business owner and executive clients often double as in-salon seminar facilitators and mentors. "Sometimes their mere presence can create a turnaround," said Harley.
