Flotation Therapy Center, Northwest Float Center to Open its Doors this Summer, Offers Huge Discounts to First 100 Members
2013-05-30
TACOMA, WA, May 30, 2013 (Press-News.org) Flotation Therapy Center, Northwest Float Center announced this week that they have secured a location in Tacoma, Washington's 6th Avenue Business District and plans to open their doors for business in late Summer. The center will be located at 3907 6th Avenue, on the corner of 6th Avenue and North Proctor Street. Their grand opening dates and details will be announced soon.

Flotation therapy, otherwise as isolation therapy, has been around for the past 40 years, but prior to its recent spike in popularity, flotation therapy centers have been scarce across the country. Flotation therapy utilizes isolation tanks, or "float tanks" where the floater literally floats in skin temperature salt water, inside of a lightless and soundproof tank; essentially removing all external stimulation to your brain. This allows the floater to completely relax and major studies have shown significant benefits for stress and pain relief, among other advantages.

"Flotation therapy for me personally has alleviated the pain from my joint and back problems. I've also never felt more relaxed than when I do during or after I float," said Kriss Brooks, Co-Founder of Northwest Float Center. "Floating has had such a profound impact on my life that I decided to open my own center. We want to educate everyone we can about how flotation therapy can make them less stressed, happier and healthier. That's really why we are here."

Alex Ziegler, Brooks' business partner, has a similar story. "I was diagnosed with leukemia in high school and was in constant pain and always tired. Flotation therapy helped me tremendously through this period and I want others to feel the benefits that I was once searching for," said Alex.

To get as many people as possible to experience floatation therapy, Northwest Float Center is offering lifetime discounts to their first 100 members that will never be available again. New members can receive their traditional, 75 minute float sessions that will normally be priced at $68 for as low as $24 each. Additional benefits include 20% off of all merchandise, free floats and monthly members-only giveaways.
