Acclaimed Florida Author And Islamic Terrorism Consultant Tony Attanasio Releases New Novel, 'The Iranian Connection: Code Word Orchid'

The new novel details the actions of Iranian and Hezbollah operatives who hope to detonate a nuclear device in NYC. It also highlights events that lead to the creation of the Office of Homeland Security

2013-05-31
SUPPLY, NC, May 31, 2013 (Press-News.org) Tony Attanasio has released his reality based suspense novel, "The Iranian Connection: Code Word Orchid". The new novel is an internationally-flavored novel which relates the actions of Iranian and Hezbollah operatives who planned in great detail to detonate a nuclear device in New York City in order to weaken The United States' support for Israel in post September 11 months, as well as greatly disrupt the US economy. US Federal law enforcement assets work at odds with, and then in concert with, one another to foil the deadly explosion. The story develops characters on both sides of the plot and highlights the now infamous non-cooperation among law enforcement agencies in the United States that made the Office of Homeland Security a reality.

Tony Attanasio is an accomplished writer who writes from direct personal experience. Tony was seriously injured in a line-of-duty incident that ended his career with NYPD. He subsequently served ten years with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where he served as an Intelligence specialist. During his tenure he served in Miami, Europe and New York City. Both in Miami, Florida, and Europe, he served as liaison with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and traveled to CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia, where he presented a course on International Organized Crime. Tony is currently a member of the NYPD Shield - counter terrorism group

"I wrote this book, Attanasio stated, based on experiences while serving in the EU. I saw firsthand the zeal that was displayed by the Islamists and how the Palestinians were used as pawns in these violent radical endeavors. I also learned quickly just who our friends were.....And who were not...... A close family member (not injured) at a meeting in the Pentagon on 9/11/01, really woke me up pertaining to the threat of Global Jihad."

Attanasio writes from real world experience. Tony has had a long career in investigating organized crime, money laundering, and radical Islam - obvious in this, his 3rd book. His previous two books have received national acclaim and five star reviews. Tony has consulted for Robert DiNiro in establishing authenticity for his film 'Ronan'.

Tony is currently teaching at a major SE Florida college and is currently researching his next book, 'The Silent Crescent' (The focus is on women in Islam.)
