Sterling Workshop Trains Professionals on How to Have Successful Practices

Practice owners acquire tools to increase productivity and practice growth.

2013-06-02
GLENDALE, CA, June 02, 2013 (Press-News.org) One-hundred and fifteen practice owners and staff gathered in midtown Manhattan this month to discover how to take their practices to the next level, and beyond, at a two-day workshop conducted by Sterling, a consulting company located in Southern California.

"Practice owners are highly trained professionals who are competent in their specialties," says Kevin Wilson, Sterling CEO. "However, most are not taught the management side of running a practice in school. Our goal is to bring up their executive skills to be on par with their technical skills. Our workshops are a good place to start."

The Sterling workshop agenda was based on extensive polling of both practice owners and their staff to ensure the most relevant materials were presented to attendees. Seminars for owners included these topics:

How to Make a Successful Practice That Runs Without You Having to Be There
How to Sell Customers the Services They Need
How to Have Productive, Efficient Staff
How to Manage Your Finances and Create Wealth in Your Practice

Seminars for staff included these topics:

How to Get Much More Done in Less Time
How to Effectively Communicate on the Job
How You Can Have Fun as a Team Member with Higher Production
How to Deliver the Best Service

Post-workshop surveys verified the enthusiastic response from attendees:

"I learned the importance of communication in creating a productive and efficient staff. Never to give up on or back off of communicating."—John Hirschey, CPA

"I love hearing these fundamental concepts on income potentials, financial reserves and allocations and how to not fall into negative traps. Great stuff, thanks."—Neil Rubin, OD

"I really liked the speaker's ideas regarding not spending what we have but just earning more money to pay the bills. I like the idea of setting aside reserves."—Cheryl Kantor-Goldenberg, DDS

"Our biggest problem was solved today."—Melissa Burton, CPA

"The lecture gave me the motivation to work as a team with my co-workers. To communicate better with patients and to have goals!"—Lisa Parrinello, Staff

"This was a great lecture! I learned how to be more efficient with my time, how to delegate work and how to help my staff become more successful because of this."—Senoni Pena, Staff

"The speaker makes the lectures easy to follow. Very funny! Great guy!"—Stefanie Bugg, Staff
