MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, June 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Two new operating systems are expected to be unveiled by Apple in San Francisco on Monday, June 10.
The tech giant has chosen its Worldwide Developers Conference to give the public their first glimpse of iOS 7 and OS X 10.9.
Prior to the event at the Moscone Center being announced as a developer conference, many had hoped to get a first look at the newest additions to the iPhone and iPad Mini families. Tickets for the event sold out in a matter of seconds when they were released in April, but it was not until the end of May that the exact date was confirmed.
Although these are now expected in autumn, Apple is likely to showcase upgraded MacBooks featuring Intel's new Haswell processors alongside the new operating systems.
Nobody is quite sure of the specifics of the new operating systems, but Apple have dropped a number of hints it will be 'flatter' in appearance and design, with fewer ridges on buttons and icons, essentially creating a starker and simpler appearance in line with Apple's design ethos.
Traditionally coy, Apple have not released an exact launch date for the iPhone 5s or 6 and the iPad Mini 2. Anticipation for new products is still high and the latest versions of are expected to be introduced at a similar event in autumn.
As ever, The Snugg will immediately release specially made cases and covers - ready for its release day.
Les Yates, Marketing Manager at The Snugg, said: "Although Apple fans will be disappointed they're waiting a little longer for a new iPhone or iPad Mini, we are very excited about what the company has in store with its new operating systems. With a company like Apple, you know whatever they do it will be for the better.
"When the new products, like the iPhone 5s or 6, see the light of day, we will be immediately ready with a range of stylish and robust Snugg cases and covers to make sure new devices stay secure and look good while doing so."
The Worldwide Developers Conference will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco from June 10 to 13. The conference's technical sessions will be given by more than 1,000 Apple engineers to the developers who attend.
