Anthony's was a popular Atlanta venue for more than forty years. It was known as an "occasion restaurant," as well as a site for weddings and other social and corporate events. The restaurant's location on a bucolic, wooded site just minutes from Atlanta allowed locals to get away from the city without traveling far. It also gave tourists a feeling that they were experiencing the best of the Old South.
Indoor and Outdoor Spaces for Any Event
While The Estate maintains the old southern charm of the property, which was originally built in 1797, it has been modernized to accommodate any event in style and comfort. Some of the "new" elements are actually very old. As part of the renovation, rooms that had previously been closed off were opened, and 200-year-old balusters, which were found up in the attic, now adorn the stairways. The Estate has a ballroom, salons, wine cellar that doubles as a lounge, bridal suite, and sun porch. The outdoor event space includes a courtyard and terrace that reflect the antebellum history of the property and provides a place for guests to enjoy the gardens and trees.
