VANCOUVER, BC, June 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Indie film director Alison Parker is at it again with her third ferret movie, "The Magic Ferret", which begins filming this September in Vancouver.
Parker was able to fund the film within just over 2 weeks of a successful crowdfunding campaign on the site IndieGoGo and plans to go to camera early in September. Pre-production has already begun, with an impressive cast already lined up.
Starring as "Sam" or "The Great Sambini", 6-year-old star Jacob Tremblay, who will become known worldwide as the son of Neil Patrick Harris in Sony Pictures' The Smurfs 2, which comes to theatres this July 28th. Canadian stars Fred Ewanuick (Corner Gas, Dan For Mayor) and Lisa Durupt (Less Than Kind) are also on board to play Mr. and Mrs. Parker, the potential parents looking to adopt the young orphan. And of course, Falcor the Ferret, the most famous ferret in the world (Just check out his IMDB page for proof!), has signed on to play Booger, the Magic Ferret.
