NEW YORK, NY, June 14, 2013 (Press-News.org) Young hopefuls from Long Island and beyond will be out in full force at SPORTIME Kings Park on Sunday, June 23, when former touring professionals Robert Kendrick and Bea Bielik lead a group of SPORTIME coaches in tryouts for full-year and half-year scholarships to attend the Sportime Kings Park junior tennis program. The day begins with registration at 1 p.m., with a series of sessions concluding at 4 p.m.

Kendrick, a three-time NCAA All-American and currently the co-director of JMTA at Bethpage, and Bielik, an NCAA champion and today the general manager of SPORTIME Kings Park, will conduct a tennis exhibition, followed by "Play the Pro," in which the students will try their skills out against these two stars.

Kendrick, Bielik and several other coaches, including JMTA Director Lawrence Kleger, JMTA Co-Director Mike Kossoff, Regional Manager Jay Harris and SPORTIME Kings Park Director of Tennis Jeff Morys comprise the Assessment Committee which will evaluate talent, as players go through a series of drills and matches between 2:30 - 4 pm. Scholarship winners will be notified by July 4.

SPORTIME Kings Park is located at 275 Old Indian Head Rd., Kings Park, N.Y. For more information, parents of interested children can email Tryout@SportimeNY.com.
