NLP Coach Training Makes International Impact

Leadership Program launched in China with Peking University Platform and Chengdu Management Co. working with state-owned and privately owned enterprises. ICF Accredited Intensive NLP Coach Training Program includes students from around the world.

2013-06-16
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 16, 2013 (Press-News.org) At the center of that impact is Helen Attridge, President and Training Director of Academy of Coaching and NLP. Attridge's company recently launched its leadership training program in China with Peking University Platform in Beijing and Chengdu Management Co., which works with state-owned (government) enterprises and privately owned enterprises. This unique program offers a blend of Eastern and Western models and philosophies, providing both business and personal support to leaders in China.

Current registration for the Academy of Coaching and NLP's 2013 Summer International Intensive NLP Coach Training Program in the San Francisco Bay Area includes US students along with those from Germany, China, Russia, Mexico, Israel, and Spain. Previous graduates of the program come from every continent, with countries as diverse as China, France, Russia, Trinidad, Egypt, Brazil, and Australia.

Attridge is all about creating a "ripple of change" to help people dramatically transform their lives and the lives of others. She does that through an experiential, holistic training model that uses NLP to help coaches gain the coaching and interpersonal skills they need to work effectively. NLP - which stands for neuro (the brain), linguistic (communication), programming (the organization of information to create the results you want) - steers the brain to find a solution.

"People spend more time learning how to program their iPhone or their TV remote than their brain," says Attridge. By helping people figure out whether they process information using visual, auditory or kinesthetic language and then how to use that modality to organize information, they can create change and save a lot of time in the process.

"In coaching we say, 'The gap between where you are and where you want to be is the story you tell yourself about why you can't have that,'" says Attridge. "NLP helps rewrite that script by understanding what the beliefs are and why they're there."

Whether working with people here or abroad, Attridge's Academy of Coaching and NLP - which is accredited by the rigorous International Coach Federation (ICF) - moves each client toward an increased understanding of his/her choices by providing support that enhances the client's own talents, resources and vision. "We elicit solutions from the client," says Attridge. "The coach helps the client to create the results he/she wants by facilitating the solution rather than coming up with it. Then people can go out and use that training to help others transform themselves and the world around them."
