Hampton Roads Magazine observes, "Don't take your wedding pictures at noon or too close to noon--the sun will be directly overhead and will cause unflattering shadows. With that in mind, aim to take your pictures in the morning or later in the afternoon/evening. Consult with your photographer for more lighting recommendations."

Although weather emergencies and photography scheduling are more of the important issues to address when planning a summer wedding, the article notes that planners may also want to offer conveniences to guests. For instance, bug spray, sunscreen and sunglasses are noted as all great wedding favors.

There are many eco-friendly candles that can serve as last-minute purchases to ward off mosquitoes, gnats and other pests.
