BALAM Dance Theatre Awarded Puffin Foundation Grant
BALAM Dance Theatre, a nonprofit dance company based in New York City, has been awarded a grant from the Puffin Foundation, Ltd. of New Jersey.

BALAM Dance Theatre (BALAM), a New York City-based ensemble dance company, has been awarded a grant from the Puffin Foundation, Ltd. The grant will be used to perform the company's signature work, Ramayana-Abduction of Sita, at the Summer Enrichment Program at Hunter-Tannersville Elementary School.A workshop inspired by the Balinese Kecak (monkey chant) will also be presented to the students, who will perform with the company as diminutive fire sprits. BALAM will be in residency part of July 2013 in Hunter, New York.
