Smoked Sea Salts Now Part of San Francisco Salt Company's Distinctive Chef Salt Collection

This month, the San Francisco Salt Company expanded their line of gourmet salts to include Cherrywood and Alderwood Smoked Sea Salts.

2013-06-21
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, June 21, 2013 (Press-News.org) San Francisco Salt Company (SFSC) have unveiled the latest additions to their selection of chef salts - Smoked Sea Salts. Their release this October comes just in time for the Thanksgiving season, a time when delicious, well-planned meals are on just about everyone's mind.

"We're excited to add smoked sea salts to our chef salt division," says Lee Williamson, the founder of the San Francisco Salt Company. "The smokiness of the salt adds a tremendous rich flavor to just about any kind of cuisine. Smoked sea salt is much more versatile than one would think," adds Williamson. "It's great on all kinds of meat, vegetables and starches. It even adds a unique flavor to desserts like ice cream, caramels, chocolate and more. The possibilities are limitless."

Smoked sea salt can be quite expensive elsewhere, but San Francisco Salt Company sell their bulk smoked sea salts at a lower cost than many of their wholesale competitors. The smoked sea salt offered by the San Francisco Salt Company is premium sea salt that is smoked over a real wood-burning fire. SFSC uses a traditional, but streamlined and very efficient process to reduce costs and pass the savings onto the customer. "A lot of companies just add a cheap liquid smoke flavor to their food products to keep costs down, but quality and taste is too important for us to go that route," explains Williamson.

Why smoked sea salts? "Well, our customers asked for it. Over the last 12 months we have been continually reaching out to our customers via social media to find out what they really want, rather than assuming we know what they want. This grass roots feedback has allowed us to become a much better brand, more organized, and better at keeping our customers happy," says Williamson. As well as their new line of smoked sea salts this month, SFSC have also announced they will be extending free shipping through the end of the year.

In addition to their new Smoked Cherrywood Sea Salt and Smoked Alderwood Sea Salt, San Francisco Salt Company's selection of chef salts also includes Himalayan Salt, French Grey Salt, Fleur de Sel, Hawaiian Sea Salts and many more gourmet salts to suite any palate.

About San Francisco Salt Company
