DAYTONA BEACH, FL, June 22, 2013 (Press-News.org) Randolph Gunter, Ph.D., Chief Visionary Officer of 21st Century Learning Solutions, will speak at the 37th Annual SECME Summer Institute this Friday, June 21.

Gunter plans to address the STEM crisis during the closing plenary session and how disruptive innovation will change the outcome of this issue facing America's students. Gunter plans to explain why the STEM crisis is still an issue today, what recent developments have made fixing the crisis suddenly possible, and how solving it is absolutely necessary in today's competitive workforce.

SECME is a nonprofit organization aiming to renew and strengthen the professional capacity of K-12 educators, motivate and mentor students, and empower parents so that students can learn and achieve higher levels of mastery in the STEM subjects. SECME is hosting its 37th Annual Summer Institute at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Gunter's research agenda has focused on the STEM crisis for over 20 years, he has co-authored 12 educational textbooks, and developed the graduate-level course Technology Driven Classrooms (TDC), which has been taken by over 12,000 teachers.
