Channel Islands Harbor Presents Concerts by the Sea

Free summer concert series to be held at Peninsula Park

OXNARD, CA, June 22, 2013

Channel Islands Harbor is holding Concerts by the Sea each Saturday from July 6 - Aug. 31. The free summer concert series will be from

4-6 p.m. at Peninsula Park, 3401 Peninsula Road, Oxnard at Channel Islands Harbor, next to the Casa Sirena Hotel and the Hampton Inn. Parking is free.

Visitors can enjoy a wide array of musical styles, including jazz, rock, reggae, Cajun, country and oldies.

Aug. 10 Ventucky String Band (Bluegrass/Jazz/Country)

Aug. 17 Cadillac Angels (Rockabilly/Surf Music)

Aug. 24 Unkle Monkey (Variety)

Aug. 31 Teresa Russell (Rock)

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on while they enjoy the music. Concert-goers can also bring along a picnic basket or dine at nearby Harbor restaurants. Channel Islands Harbor serves as a center of recreation, boating, shopping and water sports activities. The harbor is home to three yacht clubs and nine full-service marinas that provide berths for 2,150 boats. It also hosts the Ventura County Maritime Museum. Located on Bluefin Circle, the museum is a cultural center dedicated to the interpretation of maritime history through interactive exhibits and educational outreach.
