PORTLAND, OR, June 23, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Portland Business Journal reached a new record for the number of companies looking to make this year's fastest-growing private companies list making the award ceremony on June 20 an exciting night. ICON Medical Network, a division of the ICON Staffing Network based in Tualatin, had a revenue growth rate of 955.5 percent ranking the company in third place this year.
"I can seriously attribute our rapid growth to clients just loving our staffing model because of the single point of contact," said Joel Slenning, CEO of the ICON Medical Network. "And we're actually able to move a lot more quickly than our competitors."
In order to be considered for this list, the Portland Business Journal changed its previous requirement of a 5 percent increase in revenue to a 44 percent increase over two years. Companies also needed to have headquarters in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
According to Craig Wessel, publisher of the Portland Business Journal, this was the highest minimum growth percentage requirement they've had in the history of the program.
"I can only hope that is a leading indicator for all of the companies in the region," said Wessel.
With momentum forward, the challenge Slenning sees ahead is growing too fast.
"I think that's a problem anyone would be willing to have," said Slenning.
The ICON Staffing Network is a National Multi-site Contract Staffing and Search organization that provides expert staffing solutions and services to the Healthcare, IT/Technical, Locum Tenens and Retail industries.
