Academy Software Products Announce CUBE-it Zero Foundation v6.1, the FREE OLAP Cube Builder

Academy Software Products, developers of the International Award Winning Product, Data Academy are proud to announce the latest release of their award winning Personal BI Product, CUBE-it Zero Foundation v6.1, the FREE OLAP Cube builder.

2010-11-04
READING, ENGLAND, November 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) Academy Software Products, developers of the International Award Winning Product, Data Academy are proud to announce the latest release of their award winning Personal BI Product, CUBE-it Zero.

CUBE-it Zero Foundation Edition builds on the tradition laid down by previous versions of CUBE-it Zero. It remains a FREE OLAP Cube builder which brings building cubes within the grasp of anyone familiar with MS Access, but no longer requires a SQL Server Analysis Services Server to be in place in order to be able to build it's OLAP cubes.

CUBE-it Zero bridges the gap between Access Queries and OLAP CUBES and extends the reach of OLAP to everyone by enabling the creation of cubes using a simple 4 step process.

1.Connect to your data source
2.Design a report query using the visual query designer
3.Define the content of your cube
4.Process and build the cube in a single click

Foundation Edition is the base version in a series of new CUBE-it Zero Editions now available. In response to requests from a buoyant user base in excess of 1,000 users, the new Personal and Professional Editions provide additional connectivity features not previously available.

In a recent positioning statement for Cube-it Zero, Products Director Rob Davenport stated "Whilst not a replacement for a data warehouse, CUBE-it Zero, delivers fully functional OLAP cubes that do not require the foundation of a data warehouse.", he then went on to observe, "Many organizations have spent large sums of money to try and achieve pervasive business intelligence. Personal BI puts the power back into the hands of Business Managers to enable them to unlock valuable business information from their departmental data, and Cube-it Zero is the product that enables this. Since CUBE-it Zero does not mandate an OLAP Server and reports via Microsoft Office Excel available on most user's workstations, departmental BI is now available without having to invest further in expensive servers or prohibitively expensive client based BI reporting tools."
