LONDON, ENGLAND, November 06, 2010 (Press-News.org) ASEPYME BCN S.A.P and the associated audit practice GNL Auditores S.L. have joined the Russell Bedford International accounting group as the new member firms in Barcelona, Spain.
ASEPYME BCN was founded in 1983 when Ricardo García-Nieto Conde and Juan Luis Larrumbe Lara decided to join forces and create a Barcelona-based accounting and consulting firm aimed at serving small and medium sized enterprises.
Today, the firm has grown to more than 40 professionals with clients throughout Spain, including subsidiaries of multinational corporations.
Services include accounting and tax compliance, tax consulting, corporate finance advice, due diligence and HR/payroll assistance.
In order to achieve independence between accounting/tax and audit functions, financial audit services are provided by a separate group company, GNL Auditores S.L.
The firm continues to be run by the two founding partners, both of whom have some 30 years of professional experience.
Ricardo García-Nieto Conde is the managing partner. He is a qualified 'economista' (public accountant) and 'censor jurado de cuentas' (auditor), registered with the Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas (ROAC). He has an MBA from the IESE Business School at the University of Navarra. In addition to managing his firm, Ricardo is a professor of financial and tax accounting, economics and auditing at the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya. He also teaches auditing at the Instituto de Censores Jurados de Cuentas.
Juan Luis Larrumbe Lara is also a qualified public accountant and auditor, registered with ROAC. He is a professor of financial and tax accounting at the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya. He is also a member of the SME committee and the tax committee at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
Following the announcement of his firm's appointment as Russell Bedford's Barcelona member, Ricardo García-Nieto Conde commented, "We are really pleased to be joining a dynamic and expanding global network of like-minded professional services firms".
In addition to Barcelona, Russell Bedford is also represented in other key locations in Spain, such as Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and Zaragoza.
