ANDOVER, MA, November 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) Spirit's SideKick pick (patent pending) is the unique new cocktail accessory made specifically for creative garnishes such as blue cheese stuffed olives, fresh flowers, exotic fruits, etc. For establishments who serve up signature cocktails to a discriminating crowd and have embraced the stuffed olive trend; the SideKick provides mixologists with the flexibility of presenting garnishes either outside or inside the beverage. The innovative design hooks onto the rim of the glass while arcing outward slightly to hold the garnish away from the side.
As scrumptious and special as jumbo cheese-stuffed olives are, guests don't particularly want their top shelf martini compromised with floating stuffing. The SideKick securely holds garnishes like these on the exterior of the glass, giving customers the option of dipping them into their beverage when and if they want to. It can also be hung on the inside of the glass to prevent traditional items like cherries and limes from sinking to the bottom.
While showing the product to casino and restaurant operators in Las Vegas, Regional Sales Director, Ken Bishop noted that customers also saw it as a creative solution for holding strawberries served with champagne. "Hanging the SideKick on the inside of a champagne flute to suspend strawberries or other fruit, avoids guests from having to upend their glass over their face to retrieve the champagne soaked berries. Both presentation and customer satisfaction are greatly improved," says Bishop. For this application, Spirit recommends an elegant crystal SideKick.
Spirit offers the SideKick in standard colors of black and crystal, item number #01-2418. It measures 3.75" and comes in a bulk pack of 1,000 pieces. The SideKick can be customized with a company name to promote a business or brand.
This glass hanger is a true crowd pleaser for guests who appreciate the details. Presentation is just as important in beverage service as is plating a gourmet meal in food service. In fact, establishments might even be able to charge a little bit more for a cocktail adorned with a SideKick and its accompaniment.
