PINELLAS PARK, FL, November 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) After extensive research, it has been found that the vast majority of commercial dog foods are slowly killing consumer's pets. The pet food industry provides a way to turn meat, poultry and grains considered 'unfit for human consumption' to be turned into a profit for commercial pet food manufacturers and our pets are paying the price. Consumers are being deceived by the multi-billion dollar pet food industry partially due to a loophole in the law regarding labeling.
"With 50% of dogs getting cancer in their lifetime, correct food can increase their life span up to 8 years" says dog nutritionist Jenny Francoeur. She goes on to say "Pet food manufacturers don't have to state any chemicals that have been added to the meat before they've received it. This allows them to use 'meat' from animals that may be cancerous, diseased, or filled with chemicals and toxins.
The term "4 Ds" is widely used in the pet food industry. Using animals that are "dead, diseased, dying and disabled" is the first step in pet food production. And toxins that are known to cause cancer and other diseases, that have been banned from human consumption, are allowed in pet food.
With correct nutrition a dog is capable of living up to 8 years longer than if he were to eat commercial dog food. Not only will his lifespan be increased, his quality of life will increase as well, which means less vet bills for his owner.
You can learn more about commercial dog food and what can be done to protect your dog at Ms. Francoeur's website, http://thebestfoodforyourdog.com.
Ms. Francoeur is exposing the pet food industry with the intention of getting people to start taking a more active role in their dog's health. There is no reason for a dog to die prematurely due to the food they eat.
