BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, February 19, 2014 (Press-News.org) Spyros A. Pappas, Managing Partner of Pappas & Associates sprl sc, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.

Mr. Pappas has 37 years of professional experience, with nine years as a managing partner of Pappas & Associates sprl sc. There, he is known as an expert in administrative and constitutional law, as well as European law and EU policies namely competition, before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union. On a daily basis, he is responsible for managing daily business operations, including handling high profile cases. Mr. Pappas also publishes articles on European law and policies in addition to lecturing and speaking on these topics.

Mr. Pappas has written numerous books and articles in the fields of administrative and constitutional law, as well as European law. He prides himself on being fair and direct, valuing all views while remaining independent, respectful of others yet not intimidated, applying a simple but strict methodology when confronted with a problem in order to identify the core of the question and thus manage to find the right solution. Guiding him are the lessons that he learned during his work as a judge in the Supreme Court.

Mr. Pappas attributes his success to his overall experience at the Supreme Court level, as well as to his experience with both national and European administrations and his active involvement in the European policy formulation and implementation. He became involved in his profession because of his interest in law. It has been a natural progression of events and positions since graduating with his law degrees. The highlight of his career was the passage from the public to the private sector.

Mr. Pappas received a Certificate in the USA Governmental System through the Brookings Institution in 1994, as well as a diploma in the advance management program of INSEAD, which he completed at Fontainebleau in 1987. He has also completed a degree in political science from the University of Athens in 1986, a post-graduate degree in public administration and public law from the University of Paris I, Pantheon-Sorbonne in 1977, a post-graduate diploma in administrative law from Panteios School of Economic and Political Sciences in 1975, and a degree in law from the University of Athens in 1974. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with the Centre of European Culture, Brussels, and the Centre of Social Responsibility in the Digital Age (SRDA). Among his many awards and distinctions, he was named as an honorary fellow of the European College of Sport Science of the Universities of Cologne and Jyväskylä in 2000 and an honorary member of the Association of European Journalists in the same year. Two years earlier, he received a Medal of Honor from the European Institut (Lodz) for his contribution to Poland's integration process into the EU. Additionally, he served as an officer in the Order of Merit of the Grand Duke of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for the diffusion of Community law in the member states and the creation of the European Centre of Judges and Lawyers in 1992. In years to come, Mr. Pappas intends to experience continued growth and success in his practice.
