Water@Work Expands to Meet Sustainability Goals

Water@Work Ministry is expanding their team with the hiring of Gary Jones as Sustainability Coordinator

2014-02-19
ATLANTA, GA, February 19, 2014 (Press-News.org) Water@Work Ministry is an organization on a mission - to create sustainable, life-giving clean water solutions for communities in the poor, rural regions of the Dominican Republic. And there are several key components of Water@Work's operational plans that help to support their sustainability goal that makes their efforts rather unique. These components include:

• Reliable equipment that has long-term capabilities
• Local support from Dominican churches
• Low cost revenue model to support maintenance

But in addition to all of the above items, Water@Work's commitment to the communities is being further demonstrated by team staffing - both in the US and in the DR. Over the last year, the local Dominican Republic Water@Work team staff, led by John Bearden of Bearden Ministries, has grown to primarily focus on construction related capabilities. They have stayed busy with community pre-construction assessments, construction, and the set-up of the water sales business through over two dozen local churches over the last 18 months.

Gary Jones Joins Team to Assist in Sustainability Initiative

As of January 1, 2014, Water@Work has officially added a Sustainability Coordinator position to the staff in order to assist with the monitoring of the ongoing success of the installed facilities.
To fill that new role, Gary Jones has officially joined Water@Work Ministry. Within that role, he will be responsible for tracking the success metrics of all our installations and helping to ensure their ongoing sustainability.

"We are thrilled that Gary is joining us in this new role." says Patrick Borders, Executive Director of Water@Work." He has already gained significant experience working for W@W in local communities in the Dominican Republic to understand their needs and the elements that lead to a successful clean water program."

Some may already know Gary in his former role as Water@Work's very first "Intern" during the 2013 summer season. He had committed over four months of his time and resources to give to this effort.
Borders add, "Now he will be creating the US-based position of Sustainability Coordinator. Gary is the perfect person to fill this role, as he is intelligent, tenacious, and mostly importantly, has a deep compassion for the people he is serving."

Gary is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona, Tucson with a degree in Soil, Water and Environmental Science.

Tampa Wedding Photographer Discusses Tips about Weddings in Tampa
2014-02-19
In being a photographer in Tampa for almost 20 years now, I have come to love doing weddings in this beautiful "city by the bay". Tampa is increasingly becoming a favorite location for destination weddings, and for good reason. All you have to do is watch the national weather report during winter months. Relatively speaking the cost of living in Florida is still pretty low, and as a result the cost of a wedding can be significantly cheaper than in other parts of the country. Besides the great weather and great deals, Tampa has some unique locations for weddings. ...

Property Investment for Non-Residents in Canada
2014-02-19
Canada's open door policy has enriched not just its cities such as Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton that thrive in a multi-cultural environment but also its real estate investment market. What's lesser known is that Canada invites non-residents as warmly as new immigrants, allowing them real estate investing opportunities with non discriminating policies. This is quite unlike several European and Asian countries that observe more restrictions for International real estate investors. Frequently visiting and vacationing foreigners find it very easy to buy a home ...
