Gina F. Rubel Presents 'Building Brand Through Social Media'

Bucks County Estate Planning Council learns about public relations, marketing and branding through social channels

2014-02-19
DOYLESTOWN, PA, February 19, 2014 (Press-News.org) Gina F. Rubel, President and CEO of the marketing and public relations agency Furia Rubel Communications, recently presented "Building Brand Through Social Media" to the Bucks County Estate Planning Council.

Rubel addressed ways professional service providers such as attorneys, accountants, financial planners and bankers can reap the most benefit from their use of social media platforms.

"The use of various social media platforms has spread far beyond the early adopters to professionals and decision makers across the globe," Rubel said. "Social media has changed the way we do business. For example, 57 percent of companies in the U.S. have Twitter profiles and 61 percent of professionals use LinkedIn as a primary business networking site."

Rubel advised the professionals to determine where their target audience congregates online and to then focus their social media efforts within the platforms that will provide the highest return on that investment of time and effort. "The question is not whether or not you should friend your clients on Facebook. The question is where are your clients and prospects engaging online and how can you add value to the professional discourse," said Rubel.

She explained that every business, from the solo practitioner to the largest corporate office, should implement a social media engagement plan with industry compliance and best practice considerations top of mind.

Yvette E. Taylor-Hachoose, a Bucks County attorney and president of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council said, "I always get new information from Gina's presentations about social media that are relevant to marketing my estate planning practice. In fact, the feedback from the presentation has been outstanding."

The mission of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council is to advance the knowledge of local estate planning professionals and to provide a forum in which those professionals may network. The council holds monthly meetings that include a social hour, dinner and presentation. The event on Jan. 28 at the Cock 'n Bull Restaurant in Lahaska, Pa. was sponsored by Bucks County Community College Foundation and Fenningham, Stevens & Dempster, LLP.

A licensed attorney, Rubel launched Furia Rubel Communications in 2002 with a niche in serving those in the legal industry. Today, Furia Rubel Communications, Inc. is an integrated and strategic marketing and public relations agency serving clients nationwide.

The certified women-owned agency provides strategic planning, marketing, public relations, web design, and social media counsel to a wide array of professional clients, including law firms, technology companies, educational organizations, accounting and tax providers, nonprofits, municipalities, and more.
