Dentists Offer Dental Implants In South Pasadena Dentist Office

Drs. John Chu and Mary Lin are excited to offer the dental implant procedure for patients suffering from tooth loss!

2014-02-26
SOUTH PASADENA, CA, February 26, 2014 (Press-News.org) While tooth loss is a common problem, it's uncommon to ignore the problem. There are many reasons a patient should fill a missing space in the mouth, not just because of a pretty smile.

"While a dental implant will recreate a full-toothed smile, there are other reasons why the dental community embraces the practice of implant dentistry," exclaims Dr. Chu, South Pasadena cosmetic dentist.

It's true. Dental implants are a popular choice among patients and dentists. For one, osseointegration cements the screw-like implant in the jawbone; moreover, once the gum tissue also heals around an implant, it is officially a permanent tooth replacement. The process (osseointegration) behind an implant is a particular interest to any dentist handling restorative dental cases.

Why? Because some patients dislike the idea of a synthetic tooth being removable, and that is the case most of the time when placing dentures or dental bridges.

"That's not to say that dental bridges and dentures aren't stable, but a dental implant sturdily anchors in the mouth with the help of the jawbone. A patient doesn't need to remove the implant for maintenance. He/she just needs to treat it with care just like his/her natural teeth," explains Dr. Lin.

Besides standing its ground, studies have revealed that the materials used in implantology are synthetic and biocompatible, which means they won't irritate the gum tissue or mouth.

Moreover, an implant can stop the jawbone from receding, unlike dentures and bridges that just rest on the gumline.

Are you ready to take the next step to ful-"filling" your smile needs? Please call Dr. Chu's South Pasadena cosmetic dentist office at (626) 799-0852.

Dentists Reveal Younger Looking Smiles With Cosmetic Dentistry In Toronto

2014-02-26
What's the difference between a straight face and a smiling one? When you look at a straight face, you can't get a sense of a person's disposition. If a person is smiling, it's easier to approach him/her. Thus, a tight-lipped expression doesn't compliment your nature. On the other hand, a smile speaks volumes. Also, smiling has been known to make a person feel content, even if he/she doesn't feel happy. If you feel unhappy with the way your teeth look, maybe cosmetic dentistry can be the answer to your problem. Cosmetic treatments available at Danforth Neighbourhood ...
