BALTIMORE, MD, February 26, 2014 (Press-News.org) The Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation is dedicated to generating funds used to support those in need of healthcare services. For more than 15 years, the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation has worked to ensure members of the Greater Baltimore community have access to quality healthcare services. Through the generous donations of former patients, family members and community members, the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation is able to treat a range of complex disorders and provide specialized medical care to its community of nearly three million individuals.
Heidi Kenny Berman, Board Member for the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation, is celebrating eight years of active involvement with the organization. Specifically, Heidi Kenny Berman is actively involved in the GBMC Foundation's Philanthropy Committee, which works to help those in need access quality medical care. When asked about her participation on the Philanthropy Committee, Heidi Kenny Berman had this to say: "I enjoy being a part of the great work the committee does. There are so many members of this community that are going through a tough situation and just need a little help."
According to GBMC Foundation's statistics, more than 100,000 people per year seek services from the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Each year, GBMC is a trusted source of quality health care services for thousands in the area, including maternity care and cancer care. "Donations made to the GBMC Foundation go to support the hospital and increase access to medical care," says Heidi Kenny Berman.
In an effort to generate charitable funds, Heidi Kenny Berman and the Philanthropy Committee work together to launch yearly events. This year, Heidi Kenny Berman and GBMC are welcoming their "2014 GBMC Golf Classic," which will help raise funds for the organization. When asked about the Philanthropy Committee's goals, Heidi Kenny Berman replied, "We work as a team to identify the needs of GBMC and organize events to encourage an increase in charitable giving."
Though Heidi Kenny Berman is celebrating her eighth year with the Greater Baltimore Medical Center Foundation, her desire to help others is life-long. Thus far, Heidi Kenny Berman has been an active participant in charitable events relating to the preservation of animal welfare and is a former member of the Baltimore County Humane Society's Board. Since beginning involvement with the GBMC Foundation's Philanthropy Committee, Heidi Kenny Berman has been able to identify future charitable goals.
"There are over 2 million people in the Greater Baltimore area that need more than just health care services, they need to know that people care about them," says Heidi Kenny Berman. During her service on the Philanthropy Committee, Heidi Kenny Berman reports being overwhelmed by the courage and perseverance of patients who have struggled with serious medical conditions.
"Many individuals and families who make donations to the GBMC Foundation are former patients," says Heidi Kenny Berman. According to Heidi Kenny Berman, many families feel compelled to contribute after having their own positive experience with the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. "GBMC provides a great service to our community and I look forward to continuing to work with the GBMC Foundation," says Heidi Kenny Berman.

2014-02-26
While tooth loss is a common problem, it's uncommon to ignore the problem. There are many reasons a patient should fill a missing space in the mouth, not just because of a pretty smile.
"While a dental implant will recreate a full-toothed smile, there are other reasons why the dental community embraces the practice of implant dentistry," exclaims Dr. Chu, South Pasadena cosmetic dentist.
It's true. Dental implants are a popular choice among patients and dentists. For one, osseointegration cements the screw-like implant in the jawbone; moreover, once the ...
Dentists Reveal Younger Looking Smiles With Cosmetic Dentistry In Toronto
2014-02-26
What's the difference between a straight face and a smiling one? When you look at a straight face, you can't get a sense of a person's disposition. If a person is smiling, it's easier to approach him/her. Thus, a tight-lipped expression doesn't compliment your nature. On the other hand, a smile speaks volumes. Also, smiling has been known to make a person feel content, even if he/she doesn't feel happy.
If you feel unhappy with the way your teeth look, maybe cosmetic dentistry can be the answer to your problem.
